Wikipedia medical articles: Are they really inaccurate?

I have just started writing for a website called "The Medical Bag." I will be producing two blog posts per month for it.

My first post appeared yesterday. It's my analysis of a recent paper claiming that medical articles on Wikipedia  are unreliable.

The paper is methodologically unsound.

See for yourself. Here's the link.

You are right on for that one. If they have been using the research, they would have gotten this a long time ago. Its not the residents' fault, medical school education is in need for a huge overhaul.

Ego's are the same. Now that we have access to material, you need to learn to make snap judgements on your patients. Some of us have had teaching doctors give us a pat on the back. We're not here to shoot you in the foot: we're here because we care and want to know about our problems, our options, how best to fix them. We can make your life easy. Let us help.

You might find that we can be quite useful.
